Moreover, SMK is one of the biggest contributors to unemployment in West Java. For this reason, the Regional Government of West Java Province plans to overhaul the vocational curriculum which is not in line with current economic needs. Uu revealed that one of the problems of Vocational Schools in West Java is not in line with the current school curriculum with industry. 'We hope that this activity will become one of the solutions to employment absorption and the provision of expertise to students, especially vocational children in West Java,' hoped Uu. Moreover vocational education is given as a result of collaboration between Vocational Schools and direct companies. In his remarks, the Vice Governor Uu hoped that this industrial vocational program could be a solution to the problem of unemployment and vocational graduates in West Java. In addition, there are also grants for machines and equipment to support the practice of Vocational Schools from 28 companies to 208 Vocational Schools. At the Phase II launch in West Java, 631 cooperation agreements were signed between 128 industrial companies with 415 SMKs. The industrial vocational education program is an effort to build industrial link and match with Vocational Schools (SMK) throughout West Java. The launch was carried out directly by the Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto along with Vice Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, as well as Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation and Electronics (Ilmate) Ministry of Industry Harjanto, Director General of Primary and Secondary Education Hamid Muhammad Ministry of Education and Culture, and Director General Social Ministry Rehabilitation Edi Suharto.
